my super long ndp weekendFriday Dinner at Spruce
a damn chill and laid back restuarant.
nice prelude to the long weekend ahead.
spruce burger to spruce up our friday.duck pasta was so-so and their sticky date pudding, what can i say, marmalade pantry's still has THE best SDP ever!
to celebrate the setting up and success of C&L Pte Ltd... :)
and a very happy birthday to my business partner!
Sat Drinks at Indochine
Caught the movie UP in 3D as well.
The movie certainly courted my entire range of emotions!
I laughed uncontrollably when the dog leader (a fierce and domineering doberman) spoke in a spueaky voice, akin to that of Alvin the Chipmunk.
And there was also the tear jerking moment when the old man, Mr Fredrickson flipped through his late wife's adventure book and found a note from her thanking him for all the adventures he had given her and also encouraged him to find his own adventure...
*sob*
all in all it was a good movie, as are most pixar films
Sunday at the Ritz to view NDP
the sea of red, heading for the NDP floating platform, i suppose

"irregardless"whenever i hear this word being used, i want to burst into a laughing fit.some people think they sound so goddamn intellectual but don't they know that.....
regard means consideringregardless means not consideringirregardless is just a double negative for the word regard which makes it totally irrelevant. duhthis word appreared in the movie "Mean Girls" cos the girls were just too blonde

A Foodie Weekend
the weekend was spent visiting nice chill out places, eating, chilling, eating and chilling and eating
first up was brunch with keith @ kith cafe!
kith cafe is a nice little gem tuck in a corner of robertson quay
do not underestimate our understated seating area...
it was a charming window to an amazing world
view from our seat... the singapore river
the picturesque view
our cosy little corner
pancakes with ice cream... the pancakes were a little burnt
salmon on ciabatta bread with chips
quaint little teapot in which tea was served.. duh
we watched the world go by....................
occasionally, a river bumboat chugged by
the colorful HDB flats across the river
and a little bird trotted by to keep us company
kith's flavoured ice-cream
even a simple cafe latte tastes so much better when you are enjoying yourself, soaking up in the Singapore river breeze
the bulldog puppy (bullpup?) at the entrance is adorable, no?
every diner who walked in stoop to cuddle and stroke the bullpup
then proceeded to dinner at al forna at goldhill plaza
a quaint and cosy italian eatery
a damn waiter who doesnt know how to take clear pictures
appetisers was clams in white wine
my main was pappardelle alla veneziana
and his mains was pappardelle al quatro formaggidinner at al forno was spectacular... and i'm definitely coming back again
proceeded to udders ice cream for dessert
also located at goldhill plaza
they specialise in liqueur flavoured ice creams
while queueing.......
to say that the queue was long was an understatement....
it was fucking long
ooohhh.. wacky names for their ice creams
their wide variety of flavors
we ended up choosing the salty caramel and hazelnut
nothing incredibly exciting i know.. but the salty caramel wasn't even salty :(
